Leadership is an essential aspect of Rotary, which offers both clubs and programs to help emerging leaders develop their leadership skills. Through these groups, Rotarians of NMIT –Bengaluru, strengthen their leadership skills, serve their communities, increase their understanding of the world, build friendship and develop professionally. Rotaract Club of “NMIT – Bengaluru” is an international program for adults of ages 18 to 30, who want to make a difference. It was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, an association of clubs made up of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today, there are more than 8,400 sponsored Rotaract Clubs with around 1,73,000 members, known as Rotarians in over 170 countries. Rotaract brings together people in universities and communities worldwide to organize service activities, develop leadership and professional skills.
The Rotaract Club of “NMIT – Bengaluru” was launched in November, 2009 at the Institute. Rotarians of NMIT take part in district conferences, projects, training seminars and participate in an international meeting prior to the annual Rotary International Convention.
