About Department

The Career Development Cell has an important role to play in student’s future and is an indispensable pillar of the Institute. Placements provide an “OPPORTUNITY” to students to demonstrate their knowledge acquired over years for applicability in the real world. This department continuously strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring employment-seeking skills and ultimately to attain desired employment.

We recognize the power and strength of our method of education to our engineers in providing ample placement avenues in the industries. We firmly believe “to reap the benefits tomorrow, we need to sow the seeds today “and we act upon it”. We strive hard to transform the talent pool through continuous training programme by subject matter experts in the respective areas to meet the expectation of the industries. The robust and proactive Career Development Cell is a team of experienced experts striving to groom the students to fit the industry requirements. Our placement cell is a place to create and develop positive thoughts in our prospective engineers.

The Career Development Cell maintains liaison with various Industries / Organizations. These organizations are invited over to the institution so that our students have the jobs in hand even before they are graduating from the college.

Industry – Institute Collaboration

The summer internship program widens the perspective of the students by providing exposure to work in organizations. Students undergo training of 30-45 days with Industry giants such as Coca Cola, Capgemini, IIT Roorkee, Software AG and many more. Internship (Paid) opportunities during their 8th Semester provides students an early entry into companies such as KPIT, Unisys, Phillips, Infosys, Wipro, Pathpartner, Evertz, Amazon, Nutanix, OneDirect, Axiscades, SUBEX etc.

We understand that Industry – Institute collaboration is an important aspect for placements. The institute has signed MoUs with companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Unisys, KPIT, Subex, Zenken, Siemens and Element6. The MoUs are designed to equip the students with the relevant advanced industrial skills and finalize their placements.

Implementation of industry collaboration:

SMEs from various companies are invited to give guest lectures that provide an insight to students, on cutting edge technology and industrial practices.

• Organize lectures and seminars with joint participation of the faculty members and the industry.

• NMIT Placement Department believes in close interaction with leading Industries to expose the students to the present day technological developments and hands on training
• It has established a strong network with many reputed companies which provide training both at the Campus and at their company premises
• It also helps by signing MoUs with them and provide an opportunity for compulsory Internship and live industry oriented project works.
