Established in the year 2001, NMIT is affiliated to VTU Belagavi and one of the youngest Engineering colleges in the Country to be conferred the prestigious Autonomous Status by the UGC in the year 2007 itself, and also is accredited with NBA (Tier-1) and NAAC ‘A+’ Grade and Platinum Grade by AICTE-CII apart from figuring in 151-200 Rank Band in India among technical institutions, and in 101-150 Rank Band under Innovation Ranking by the NIRF, Ministry of Education, Government of India in the year 2023.
