Mobile Robot (indoor/outdoor) with Intelligent Computer Vision System for Human Following

A wheeled mobile robot (WMR) has been developed. This robot follows humans in indoor environments while maintaining a minimum distance of separation between the robot and the person being followed. This task uses computer vision based Human Detection and a Particle Filter based Tracking Algorithm. The robot has technology for three distinct phases: target recognition, target pose estimation and controller calculations. .
