Students working in the Robotics Center of Excellence have won many awards. Details are:

  • First prize in three events vis-a-vis Roborace, Legged Mobile Botix and Line Follower. Second prize in the Legged Mobile Botix event. The Competition was at IIT Bombay (March 2015) and was organized by Technophilia Systems in association with Robotics and Computer Applications Institute of USA (RCAi-USA). Around 40,000 students from more than 450 Engineering colleges across India, including IITs & NITs participated in the competition.
  • First Prize and Third Prize for Legged Mobile Botix in the Indo US RoboLegue, a National Level Competition conducted by Technohillia Systems, USA, in association with Robotics and Computer Applications Institute of USA (RCAI –USA). The competition was held during the Technical Fest “Aagomani – 2014” at IIT Mumbai.
  • First Prize for ’Intelligent Machine Vision System for Pick and Place Operation’ at IEEE All India Student Project Contest 2010, The contest was conducted by IEEE Hyderabad Section at Osmania University, Hyderabad in August 2010.The robot is an exhibit at the Birla Museum, Hyderabad, with sponsorship from IEEE.
  • Second prize to Swaroop R, Ganesh M Pai, R Praveen Kumar Jain, Venkatesh G M, Guide Dr. JharnaMajumdar, for the ,“Command and Control of Articulated Pick and Place Robot using Vision System”, SHRISTI 2010, State level Project presentation competition, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur .
  • Paper entitled ‘Studsat- A student Pico satellite for imaging’, presented in the 59th International Astronautical Congress (IAC2008), September 2008, Scotland, won the Hans Von Muldau Team Award sponsored by ‘DeutcheGesellschaft fur Luft-und Raumfahrt (DGLR)’ and International Astronautical Federation (IAF).
