B.E - Information Science & Engineering Programme has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under the Tier-1 scheme (Equivalent to Washington Accord).
Permanent affiliation has been granted for the B.E. Programme by VTU till the academic year 2022-23.
The department has several research projects funded by Department of Information and Technology (DIT), New Delhi, Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Visvesvaraya Technological University, UNESCO-KSCST and others.
Department believes in Open Source Software and uses Linux platform & Open Source tools.
The department has exclusive research laboratories viz. Advanced Computing Research Lab and Centre for Smart Things(IOT) for the benefit of faculty, post-graduate and under-graduate students
The laboratories are open 24x7 to facilitate maximum utilization of the resources for research and projects.
Internship program for UG & PG Students in reputed Industries/R&D Organizations/IISc/IITs/NITs. About 85% of the students undergo internship programs each year starting from AY 2010-11.
Extensive interaction with industry resulting in close to 90% Placement with highest CTC offered for ISE students-Rs 18 Lakhs.
