Activities for the Year 2014-15
  • Weapon Training classes with Self Loading Rifle SLR 7.62mm, November 2014 and January 2015.
  • Institutional training, which includes drill, weapon training, personality development and, signals have been imparted to all the cadets.
  • Participation in the event to pay homage to the martyrs of Kargil, July 2014.
  • Organised Blood Donation Camps in association with NSS and Rotaract club.
  • Celebration of Independence day and Republic Day in the College.
  • Earth Hour Day program, March 2014.

Gender sensitisation and Equality Drive
On the occasion of the ‘International Women’s Day’ the Cadets organised a drive (March 2015) on gender sensitisation and equality . A rally was organized to spread awareness about gender issues such as sexual harassment of the girl child, gender inequality, poor nutrition and female foeticide.

National Disaster Reduction Day
NCC cadets attended a program to observe the National Disaster reduction day organised by the department of Civil Defence Govt of Karnataka, February 2015.

Blood Donation Camp at Yelahanka
NCC cadets donated blood and volunteered at a Blood Donation Camp, January 2015.

Swach Bharath Abhiyaan
Fifty NCC Cadets and Capt. Rajesh N., the NCC Officer have participated in the Swach Bharath Abhiyaan program organised jointly by, Rotaract, NSS and NCC units at Venkatala Village in November 2014. Cadets helped create awareness and educate people on cleanliness and the motto of Swach Bharath Abhiyaan.

RUN FOR FITNESS – 5km Run
To mark the NCC day, 35 NCC Cadets and Capt. Rajesh N have participated in "RUN FOR FITNESS " in November 2014. Cdt. Aman Kumar of Our Institution won the 3rd prize in this event.

Personality Development Program
NCC unit of NMIT has organised a 1-day training session on Personality development, Life Skills and Leadership in October 2014.

Visit by Group Commander, NCC "Group-A", Bangalore.
Group Commander of NCC "A- Group", Bangalore, Col. M. C. Aiyappa visited our college in October 2014. He talked to the students on Career prospects for Engineers in Defence Forces and interacted with the NCC cadets.

A training program on Disaster management and First Aid
NCC unit of the college has arranged a training program on Disaster management and First Aid in September 2014. Personnel from the 19th Division, Civil Defence of Karnataka gave lectures.
