Prof./Dr./Ms. Vasudha Hegde delivered a talk/ Lecture on ‘Power quality issues: measurements and solutions ‘ in FDP titled, ‘ Emerging Research Issues and Competent Solutions in Indian Renewable Energy Sector’, from 18th to 22nd July,2016, held at NMIT, Bangalore.

KPIT Sparkle Contest 2017: The team comprising of K. Arun Kumar and Prabhu B. of VIII sem were among the top 35. They presented their idea in the grand finale at Pune on 17th and 18th February 2017. Their idea was titled ‘Separation and Collection of Plastics :A Smart Approach’ . The idea was much appreciated by the jury members. The team members were offered a career in KPIT.

C.K Neha, Manasa Hegde, Vikrant Aher of III Sem presented a paper on “Effect of home appliances on power quality of conventional grid”, at the International Conference on Circuits, Controls, Communications and Computing (I4C-2016), Bangalore, in October 2016.

Pallavi G H, Sudip Chandra Gupta of VIII sem presented a paper on “Smart traffic management” at JIPMER institute, Pondicherry, APOGEE 2017 in Feb 2017. This paper is one of the top 20 papers which will be presented in BITS, GOA and published in Enhanced Research Publication.

Particpated in Formula Hybrid 2015, at Motor Speedway, New Hampshire, USA, in April 2015.  Our college car was rated 10th best among 37 other cars.

Participated in Formula Hybrid 2014, held at Motor Speedway, New Hampshire, USA, from in April 2014. Our college car was rated 9th best among 29 other cars. The car was also awarded the most popular car.

Team Astra at Motor speedway, New Hampshire, USA, 2015

   

K Arun Kumar and Prabhu B of 8thsem EEE participated in the KPIT Sparkle Contest 2017. Their projects on ‘Separation and Collection of Plastics: A Smart Approach’ was shortlisted. The idea was appreciated by the jury members and the entire team was offered a career in KPIT. They also presented their idea in the grand finale at Pune on 17th and 18th February 2017.

The hackathon was sponsored by Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change and the theme was “Carbon activated filter for controlling industrial air pollution’’ and the under the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.
