This workshop imparted knowledge on diverse topics of interest such as propulsion, aircraft material, stabilitily and control techniques. Dr. V. Ganesan professor emeritus department of Mechanical Engineering IIT Madras was the chief guest

National Workshop on Topical Transcend in Aerospace Technologies was conducted for 5 days from 19-09-2016 to 23-09-2016.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. V. Ganesan, professor Emeritus Department of Mechanical Engineering IIT, Madras, Dr. S. Venkateswaran Prof. & head of Aeronautical Department, and Mr. Rohit Punja, Administrator, NMIT. Dr. S. Venkateswaran while addressing, emphasised the importance of providing a platform for imparting specific knowledge and hands on experience in the areas of propulsion, aerodynamics, Matlab and Simulink, structures, aircraft materials, computational fluid dynamics techniques. The chief guest Dr. V. Ganesan, delivered the keynote address and he opined that students in aerospace engineering and allied disciplines should evolve their interest in applied research, particularly in propulsion, gas turbine technology and combustion thermodynamics. Mr. Rohit Punja, delivered the presidential address. He encouraged the students to attend such workshops frequently to update their knowledge in the aerospace domain, to meet the current requirement.
